Reception and Year 6 'Buddy trip' to E-Zone

Reception and Year 6 had a great time at the E-Zone on Friday for their 'Buddy Trip'.

The children got to spend the morning with their buddy creating outdoor art and sand pictures.

During the afternoon, Reception went on a sensory walk whilst Y6 built shelters in the woods.

They had fantastic fun spending time with their buddies and getting to know each other even more.

Thank you to all of the children and staff and to Guy and Michelle from the E-Zone for making it such a wonderful day.

Fundraising for the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital

One of our year 4 children organised a birthday fundraiser in March, instead of having a birthday party.  Children were invited to spend money on stalls rather than buy her a birthday present, to raise money for the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, where she is treated for her condition, 'scoliosis'.

She raised a whopping £730.56, and held an assembly at school this morning to talk about the hospital and the great work they do, and to present them with their cheque!!

Well done Autumn, we're super proud of you!!!

R.E. Debate

A group of our Year 6 children recently took part in a debate hosted by St James's Primary School, where their motion was that Parents should choose their child's religion for them.  Our team were debating against this motion.

Our team worked really hard in preparation for this debate, and presented their arguments with confidence.

So much so that the outcome of the vote at the end of the debate was against the motion!

Well done Year 6 - Fantastic debating!!
