All the children showcased all of their fantastic skills which they have developed in P.E and the tennis club for the ones who attended. They represented the school brilliantly too! We are delighted to announce that Team A won the whole competition and are now through to the Level 3 Black Country Finals!
Well done to all of our fantastic tennis stars- we are so proud of you.
10 children from year 3 and 4 took part in an exciting tri-golf competition at Windsor High School.
It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to practise and apply their skills which they had developed in a tri-golf club on a Wednesday and from their P.E lessons.
It was a brilliant team effort and we are excited to announce that they came 4th place!

Kewford Eagles - Girls Football
The FA have recently launched the SSE Wildcats programme aimed at encouraging more girls at primary school age to get involved in sport. Girls football is increasingly popular as it encourages team work, socialising skills and exercise.
Kewford Eagles are running a girls only training session every Saturday between 13.30 and 14.30 at Eagle Park, Swindon Road, Wall Heath. See leaflet at school for more information...
Before the Easter Holidays, children from Year 1-6 took part in the Dudley gymnastics competition which was held at Ellowes Hall School. We took 5 teams in total which is the most we have ever taken to the gymnastics competition- this just emphasises what fantastic gymnasts we have here at the Ridge! After lots of training and practice, the children all worked incredibly hard and performed their floor and vault routines brilliantly.
The results are as follows-
Year 3/4 Team A- 4th out of 36 teams.
Year 3/4 Team B- 6th out of 36 teams.
Year 5/6 Team A- 4th out of 32 teams.
Year 5/6 Team B- 8th out of 32 teams.
A special congratulations to our Year 1/2 team who came 1st out of 21 teams!
Well done to all the children who took part and to our fabulous reserves in our each of our teams too.
A combined total of sponsorship money and £1 donations has raised a massive £690.60 for Sports Relief - well done everyone!!!
Year 5 had a fantastic morning Bell Boating on Monday with Andy Train along Stourbridge canal!
Children loved working as a team to successfully navigate along the canal with one team even enjoying creating their own version of 'We Will Rock You'... also known as 'Paddle Rock'. The children were even brave enough to paddle standing up and walk along the boat and high-five their friends.
A huge thank you to Andy for allowing us to take part in such a wonderful opportunity- we loved it!
Due to their fantastic 2nd place performance in the autumn athletics competition, our Year 5/6 athletics team got through to the finals for our local area at Windsor High School.
After a very close competition which included individual and relay events, they came a brilliant 3rd place. A massive congratulations to the whole team on their success, you did yourselves and the whole school proud!

Today Miss Collins and Mrs Higgins took two teams of year 3/4 children to a fantastic rugby festival led by Windsor High School. The children took part in a series of activities developing key rugby skills including passing, attaching and defending skills and scoring tries. All the children tried their very best and developed lots of skills including team work!
